Parviz Khan, the feature film directed by Ali Saghafi, has won the Best First Filmmaker award at FICIMAD in Spain.

FilmWay reports that the Spanish festival selected the film as one of the standout works of this edition. During the announcement, festival representatives praised the film’s connection to football, its performances and its memorable impact on the event’s audience and organizers.

The film is listed in the NORA VISION Programs catalogue as a completed 110-minute Persian-language drama with English subtitles. Parviz Khan centers on Parviz Dehdari, one of the most respected figures in Iranian football. Dehdari served as head coach of Iran’s national team and was also the first head coach of Persepolis. The film presents him as a disciplined and principled leader whose fairness, teamwork and moral clarity shaped a generation of athletes.
